Site-Specific Pavillion

From Ornament To Architecture

Beachside Mandapa

In a poetic intersection between jewellery and architecture, this site-specific pavilion reimagined the language of adornment on an architectural scale. Inspired by a handcrafted wave collar, our process began with the fine detailing of woven jewellery, exploding the scale into a structure large enough to be entered, inhabited and celebrated within.

The result was a shell-inspired enclosure that emerged organically from the sand. Both sculpture and sanctuary, ephemeral and monumental

Sculpting with Nature

Natural fibres were layered, woven and embellished into kinetic surfaces that moved with the wind. The material’s natural shimmer gave life to the structure breathing, glowing and shifting with every change in light. The result was an architectural jewel that felt alive and in dialogue with the landscape.

How does Jewellery become a pavillion?

Through transformation: from ornament to architecture, from the smallest scale to the grandest construction.
