An outdoor installation of 6 metres long commissioned by Bvlgari Jewelers for their luxury resort in Uluwattu, Bali
The Serpenti necklace is a creation of great beauty in gold and diamonds by Bvlgari’s finest jewelers. An inspirational piece for which we dug deep into our creativity and techniques to do it justice. We studied the master jewellers’s workmanship and then translated it into our specially curated natural materials. We innovated new techniques and applications to emulate the finesse of each element of the jewelry.
The cream, dry lontar leaf was used for its durability outdoors, cut into uniform precise patterns and interlocked to create a repeated snake scale effect.
To replicate diamonds on the head, we found that handwoven lontar baskets, carefully placed, fulfilled the requirements of the sculpture to perfection.
