In 2021, we had the incredible opportunity of presenting our first-ever solo exhibition, Artisan by Nature, at the John Hardy Boutique & Gallery in Seminyak. Curated in collaboration with the Director of Heritage at John Hardy, this show allowed us to push the boundaries of what we do — proving that our work goes beyond ephemeral installations for weddings and events.
Curating this exhibition stretched in designing spaces for two levels of the flagship store and the garden, in tandem with launching our first wearable jewellery collection. From crafting large-scale sculptural installations to curating a live cultural performance for the opening night, this project was about showing how traditional materials and techniques can be transformed across contexts. We created a tactile and experiential environment for visitors that blended storytelling, heritage craft, and contemporary design — all handmade, using coconut and lontar leaf.
Artisan by Nature was a major moment for our team, and it marked a new chapter in our creative journey. It reminded us — and hopefully others — that natural materials can do so much more than decorate; they can define experiences.
